Founded by Todd Kletz, One Hour Cares focuses on the small local organizations that a lot of larger giving programs overlook.
Our mission
One Hour Cares was founded in December 2012 by Todd Kletz to focus on supporting small local organizations in Hampton Roads, rather than larger, already well-funded charities. Since then, the program has distributed over $250,000 in donations — starting with $1,000 monthly gifts and growing into the quarterly $5,000 community giveaways we run today.
We are passionate about lending a helping hand to the little guys and girls of Hampton Roads — after all, you make the biggest impact on our community.
Where it started
Established by Todd Kletz and Alan Heckel, serving Southside Hampton Roads with residential HVAC for over two decades and earning "Best at the Beach" from The Virginian-Pilot.
After expanding to the Peninsula under Todd's leadership, the company partnered with the national One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning brand.
Todd Kletz starts a dedicated community-giving program, now led alongside son Ryan Kletz, who leads the family-owned company today.
